Nordic Sauna Terms & Conditions

By booking or using sauna, you agree to the following terms.

1. Health & Personal Responsibility

  • Sauna and cold water exposure involve risks, including overheating, dehydration, dizziness, fainting, and cardiovascular stress.

  • By attending, you confirm that you are physically able to participate and have no medical conditions that make sauna heat (typically around 85-95°C) or cold water exposure unsafe for you.

  • If you have health concerns (heart issues, blood pressure problems, epilepsy, pregnancy, etc.), consult a doctor before you book a session.

  • You take full responsibility for your own health, decisions, and participation.

  • You participate at your own risk.

2. Assumption of Risk

  • By using our facilities, you accept all risks associated with sauna and cold water exposure and understand that participation is voluntary.

3. Safety Rules

  • No alcohol or drug use before or during your session. We may refuse entry if we believe you are under the influence.

  • Sauna sessions should be 5–15 minutes at a time, with cooling breaks in between. Exceeding 15 minutes per session may increase risk of overheating.

  • Stay hydrated and avoid eating heavy meals before your session.

  • Remove all metal jewelry before entering.

  • Swimwear is required (no nudity).

  • No phones or devices in the sauna.

  • Do not touch the stove or heater surface.

  • Only pour water on the stones gently and with consideration for others.

  • Glass drink bottles are not allowed inside the sauna.

  • Feet must be rinsed in the provided tub before each entry.

4. Age Restrictions

  • Guests under 16 are not permitted.

5. Group Bookings

  • If you book for a group, you are responsible for sharing these terms and safety guidelines with everyone attending.

6. Sauna delivery for private events

7. Cold Water Exposure & Bucket Showers

  • Cold water exposure and bucket showers are optional and carry risks including cold shock, dizziness and cardiovascular stress.

  • Cold plunging is not recommended for people with low blood pressure or a history of dizziness or fainting, as sudden cold exposure can trigger a rapid cardiovascular response and may increase the risk of light-headedness or fainting.

  • If you have a medical condition or are unsure whether cold exposure is safe for you, consult a healthcare professional before participating.

  • If you are breastfeeding, cold plunging (submerging) is not recommended unless you have discussed it with your healthcare professional.

8. Behaviour & Conduct

  • Be respectful of other guests and staff.

  • Abusive, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour may result in removal without refund.

9. Property & Belongings

  • You are responsible for your personal belongings.

  • Nordic Sauna is not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen items.

10. Damage to Equipment

  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the sauna, stove, buckets, or equipment due to misuse or failure to follow instructions.

11. Right to Refuse Service

  • We may refuse entry or end a session if we believe it is unsafe for you or others to continue.

12. Liability & Guest Responsibility

  • Guests are responsible for any injury, damage, or costs resulting from their own actions or failure to follow instructions. Nordic Sauna is not liable for these or any other injury, illness, loss, or damage, including slips, falls, burns, reactions to heat or cold, or equipment misuse.

  • You attend and use the facilities entirely at your own risk.
